Wildlife photography demands reverence for your subject, big or small. It demands time and patience, and you must slow down and allow nature to reveal itself. Our way of life is completely out of step with the natural world. The weather influences animal behaviour and sets up the lighting and the overall mood of your photo. You need to wait for a moment when it all comes together. Light, time, and motion within a single frame. Sometimes it works out well; most of the time it doesn't, but it's all part of the process. The most important thing is to enjoy the experience and learn from it. All animals in this gallery are wild and free, even the ones photographed in urban settings. All photos represent a real scene, without any digital manipulation.
