Leonardo DeGorter photography 

I was born and raised in a beautiful area of Rio de Janeiro called Lagoa. It has a unique geography, with a lagoon surrounded by Rio's famous mountains and beaches. This outdoor space has parks and restaurants that are used by millions of people. I photographed this area for a long time for a personal photo book project. This visual documentation happened during a time of significant changes in the city. This project is about my neighbourhood. It's about me, and it's about leaving your country. Work in progress.
