A few years ago in Sweden, 15-year-old Greta Thunberg decided to skip school and protest her government's climate inaction. Since then, this one-person initiative has developed into a global movement supported by thousands of people. In 2019, the "Fridays for Future" climate movement grew in Canada, and students from several cities joined the strikes. This photo essay is about those strikes and other environmental demonstrations in and around Vancouver.
